Background & Experience

Angel Suarez, a dedicated community ambassador for Project Béisbol, has been coaching and mentoring young athletes for four years. During this time, he has introduced the joy of baseball to approximately 80 children across Cúcuta and El Zulia, fostering inclusivity and growth among both Colombian and Venezuelan youth. As a collaborator and regional overseer in Norte de Santander, Angel plays a key role in supporting local initiatives. One of his most inspiring experiences with Project Béisbol was traveling to the United States to learn from its culture and gain a broader perspective. For Angel, baseball represents joy, learning, and brotherhood—a sport that unites and nurtures emotional and physical growth within the community. He began his program to provide children in Cúcuta, including Venezuelan refugees, with the opportunity to explore baseball and find a supportive environment. With the goal of creating spaces where all children can pursue their passion and develop personally and professionally, Angel continues to inspire and guide the next generation of athletes.
