Most Inspiring Moment with Project Béisbol: Seeing the transformation and opportunities experienced by young people from the Quinamayó community through baseball has been one of the most inspiring moments. Witnessing their growth—not only as athletes but as individuals—and how they begin to believe in new possibilities for their future gives true meaning to everything baseball represents in our lives.

Background & Experience

Professional baseball player with over a decade of international experience. He signed with the San Francisco Giants organization in 2014, developing across multiple minor league levels and participating in several Spring Training processes, including experiences close to the Major League environment through 2021.

In 2022, he was part of the Baltimore Orioles organization, where he also took on a leadership role as a player representative in the clubhouse. He was an active member of the Minor League Players union and a leader within the organization. He also served as one of the Latin American representatives during the Minor League unionization process, contributing to strengthening players’ voices and rights.

At the international level, he has represented Colombia and Spain in multiple competitions. He was a champion of the Serie del Caribe 2022 in the Dominican Republic and has participated in three editions of the tournament. He also competed in the World Baseball Classic Qualifier in Taiwan, earned a bronze medal at the U-23 World Cup in Mexico, and has played in two editions of the European Championship, becoming champion in 2023 in the Czech Republic with the Spanish national team. Additionally, he has participated in the Serie de las Américas, further consolidating his experience in high-level international tournaments.

His career includes professional experience across various leagues and baseball cultures, having competed in countries such as Spain, France, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, Italy, Mexico, the United States, Taiwan, Venezuela, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Panama, Ecuador, and Colombia. This has allowed him to develop a global perspective on the game and on talent development in a sport with worldwide presence and significant growth in recent years.

Additionally, he has been involved in institutional processes within professional baseball, collaborating with the MLB Players Association on initiatives focused on player representation, well-being, and holistic development, especially within the Latin American community.

He is currently the captain of the Vaqueros de Montería in the Colombian Professional Baseball League.

Off the field, he has been actively involved in social impact and sports development initiatives, participating in clinics and programs alongside MLB and the MLB Players Association, as well as in mentorship, education, and support processes for young athletes in Latin America.
