Marketing & Development Intern

Join the PB Team! As Marketing & Development Intern, you’ll play a vital role in advancing Project Béisbol’s mission by supporting marketing, fundraising, donor relations, and community outreach efforts. You’ll gain hands-on experience in non-profit development and communications while collaborating with our international team, local staff, volunteers, and interns. This role provides unique exposure to sports-based youth programming, international non-profit management, and grassroots community engagement. Complete the 6 month internship and join us in Colombia on a two-week mission – all expenses paid!

Location: Remote (preference for South Florida or Philadelphia region)

Hours: 10–15 hours/week, flexible schedule with some weekend hours

Work Environment: 75% remote work, 25% team meetings, events, and community outreach activities

Compensation: School credit, transportation reimbursement, potential opportunity for a fully paid mission trip to Colombia after 6 months of service.

 

Responsabilities: 

  • Engage in community relations and outreach by cultivating relationships with local donors, sponsors, and equipment donors.
  • Collaborate with local staff, volunteers, and fellow interns to strengthen community ties and expand Project Beisbol’s presence in South Florida.
  • Represent Project Beisbol at community events, donor meetings, and outreach opportunities.
  • Conduct donor and prospect research; maintain accurate development and marketing databases.
  • Assist with planning and execution of fundraising campaigns and special events.
  • Draft donor communications, newsletters, press releases, and social media content.
  • Support grant research and proposal preparation.
  • Assist with marketing campaigns to elevate Project Beisbol’s visibility, including digital, print, and grassroots initiatives.
  • Participate in regular team check-ins and contribute to planning meetings.

Qualifications & Requirements: 

  • Active undergraduate/graduate student or recent graduate.
  • Demonstrated interest in non-profit development, fundraising, marketing, or philanthropy.
  • Strong writing and communication skills in English (Spanish proficiency a plus).
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a remote/hybrid environment.
  • Passion for sports, especially baseball and softball, as tools for social change.
    Based in or familiar with the South Florida or Philadelphia community (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace and willingness to learn CRMs and marketing tools.
