We were honored to visit our friends in Roldanillo, Colombia, with long-time PB supporter, Charlie Melin, Molly Melin, last month! We first met Charlie in 2017 on a tour we organized with his family to play ball and donate supplies to the kids. Since then, he has won two Wiffle Ball Tournaments in Lake Bluff, Illinois, raising over $10,000 for Project Béisbol. One of the highlights of the trip was introducing Charlie to his Digital Exchange partner Leo Gutierrez in person in Colombia for the first time, and watching them throw the ball and practice Spanish and English! We were also joined by two young Venezuelan baseball leaders (Manuel and Dilan) in the region who started the youth program at IE Jose Maria Cabal in Cali, and continue to fight to make baseball accessible to Colombians and Venezuelans alike. Thanks to our great friend Julian Quintero and the Club Cancerberos de Roldanillo for making this day possible.
