Job Description:
Our All-Star English League is expanding and we are hiring more talented and dedicated teachers. ASE offers English scholarships to motivated student athletes in underserved communities in Colombia who otherwise would not have access to high-quality English instruction.
This online, interest-based program incorporates baseball and softball concepts into the language acquisition methodology, creating a fun and dynamic learning experience. The classes are taught in small groups of 4 to 6 students, enabling them to exercise their verbal skills frequently and consistently.
Since 2020, ASE has been sponsored by the U.S. Embassy in Colombia, the MLB Players Trust, and dozens of our generous donors from around the world.

Location: Remote. Teachers based in Colombia or Brazil preferred.
Work-Schedule: Monday to Friday, varied schedule between 7am – 9pm
Start date: November 1, 2024
Duration: 6 months with strong possibility of extension if goals met
Contract Type: Service contract
Salary: Based on education, experience and amount of hours per week. Negotiable during the interview. Prep time and administrative support included in hourly total.
- 30 hours per week – 2.500.000 to 3.000.000 monthly pay
- 20 hours per week – 1.750.000 to 2.000.000 monthly pay
- 12 hours per week – 1.000.000 to 1.200.000 monthly pay
Responsibilities:
- Be punctual
- Manage class time effectively
- Give clear explanations
- Motivate students to learn in and outside of class
Requirements:
- Teaching Certificate (C1 or higher level of english)
- Ample experience teaching english (Two years minimum)
- Excellent instructional and communication skills
- Strong internet connection
- Willing and able to use video during class
- Passion for baseball and softball a plus
- Experience with non-profits a plus
